Company Acer expects to release the first Communicator under its own brand in the first quarter of 2009, DigiTimes reports citing sources inside the company on. The first markets where a communicator Acer, will be Russia and Western Europe.
Acer President J. Ti Wong (JT Wang) believes that the unit production of communicators will be one of the fastest growing segments of Acer in the next 3-5 years. In this regard, Acer plans to increase its staff from 200 to 500.
Recall that in March became aware of the intention to acquire the company Acer E-Ten, producing communicators Glofiish. The transaction was completed in autumn this year. Remain there after the release of Communicator Acer brand E-Ten Glofiish, not reported.
