The crisis wiped out a growing market of consumer electronics.

In the fourth quarter of this year, a growing market of consumer electronics have virtually stopped, Cnet News reported, citing the report of Association of Consumer Electronics (CEA).
According to the CEA, in the last quarter of 2008 market growth of 0.1 percent. Earlier expectations that the market for consumer electronics will grow at 3.7 percent. Market experts predicted computers dvuhprotsentnoe fall.
Sales of mobile phones, predicted CEA, in the current quarter will increase by five percent. Previously, it was assumed that the growth of this market segment is 11 percent.
Also, experts from the CEA believe that because of the financial crisis reduced demand for technology, and buyers will pay more attention to the cheaper model.
Consumer Electronics Association was established in the United States in 1924. Currently, the CEA is more than two thousand companies operating in the market of consumer electronics.
