Hitachi admitted in containing the prices of LCD panels.

Hitachi Company admitted that participated in the cartel to prevent a fall in prices in the market LCD panels, reports TechRadar. The amount of fines, which have paid Hitachi, is 31 million dollars.
In Hitachi acknowledged that prices are artificially constrained in the period from April 2001 to March 2004. During this period, the company has supplied LCD screens American computer manufacturer Dell.
Hitachi also agreed to cooperate with the U.S. Department of Justice. The latter investigates violations of the antimonopoly legislation manufacturers LCD screens.
Recall that in November 2008, U.S. Department of Justice has accused LG Display, Sharp and Chunghwa Picture Tubes to join the conspiracy to prevent a fall in prices in the market LCD panels. These companies have pleaded guilty and were fined more than half a billion dollars.
The share of LG Display had 400 million dollars. Sharp will pay 120 million dollars, Chunghwa Picture Tubes - 65 million dollars.
