Company Intel and Hitachi have established an alliance to develop data storage systems class high-end based on flash memory, reported The Wall Street Journal.
Intel will supply flash memory produced by the joint venture with Micron, as well as the SSD-drives. Hitachi, in particular, will integrate flash memory with systems designed for use with servers and other high-complexes.
It is expected that the first products of the alliance Intel and Hitachi will appear in 2010. These devices will be marketed under the brand name Hitachi.
One advantage of flash memory in the magnetic nakopitelyami a higher speed. Additionally, flash memory consumes less power.
