Analysts predicted a record drop in demand for computers.

In 2009, demand for computers will decline at a record 11.9 percent, said the report of analysts Gartner, the data which leads ZDNet. The previous record decline in demand was set in 2001, when the rate fell by only 3.2 per cent.
In developing markets, sales should drop to 10.4 percent. Before this measure was considered to be the worst sales growth of computers in 2002, amounting to 11.1 per cent.
Record to reduce the sales of computers in developed markets, previously belonged to 2001, when they fell to 7.9 percent. In 2009, sales are expected to decline by 13 percent.
The only market segment with high growth rates of sales are netbuki. In 2009, sold 21 million devices, while in 2008 sales amounted to 11,7 million netbukov. They account for eight per cent of the supply of computers, and analysts expect that netbuki slow decline of sales in the industry.
In December 2008, Gartner analysts predicted a decrease in 2009 production of chips at 16.3 percent. This fall in the market should be the largest since 2001.
