The company Apple has developed a more compact and cheaper version of smarfona iPhone, AppleInsider reports with reference to the publication of the Chinese edition of Economic Daily News. Journalists last received information about the new iPhone from Taiwanese manufacturers, working with Apple.
The new smartphone will be presented at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference in June this year. Last year at this conference was introduced iPhone 3G.
According to the publication, the Taiwan company Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company and United Microelectronics Corporation received an order from Apple to produce a compact and low-cost mobile device, called the iPhone Nano.
Analysts at the time predicted the emergence of cheaper versions of iPhone. Thus, experts of FBR Capital Markets believe that such a device will be shown in mid-2009. They believe that instead of Apple's chip company Infineon, inside the iPhone Nano will install processor Qualcomm.
Analysts of American Technology Research does not doubt that the iPhone Nano will be released. But they believe that the smartphone would not be sold in the United States. The main market for its sales will be the Asia-Pacific region.
