Seagate will demonstrate a device with the first USB 3.0.

Seagate Corporation intends at CES in Las Vegas the first to demonstrate the interface of USB 3.0 device, aimed at ordinary consumers.
USB 3.0 will be used in an external hard drive Seagate FreeAgent, equipped with a controller Symwave. The last, and supports USB 3.0.
Using the new interface will help increase the speed of data exchange is 10 times, from 480 megabits per second to about five gigabits per second.
Previously, it was assumed that the first device that supports USB 3.0 will appear in the second half of 2009 and will be widely available in 2010.
Connectors and USB 3.0 interface of the prototypes were first presented at the previous exhibition CES. In August, Intel Corporation has published draft specifications of USB 3.0, and demonstrated the transmission of data using a new interface. The final USB 3.0 specification was published only in mid-November 2008.
