Palm introduced the new touch smartphone platform.

Company Palm at electronics CES 2009 smartphone introduced Pre, working at the mobile platform webOS, built on the kernel Linux, reports TechRadar.
Palm Pre is equipped with a 3.1-inch touch screen and offers qwerty-keyboard. The amount of internal memory is equal to eight gigabytes, or GB, a camera - 3.2 megapixels.
The new Palm smartphone will be available in versions for both networks GSM, and CDMA. It is equipped with modules Wi-Fi, GPS and 3G. Sales Pre appear in the first half of this year.
Mobile platform webOS is an Internet-based system. In particular, contacts, phone book under her administration is synchronized with contacts in Facebook and Gmail.
Outwardly webOS interface similar to the Apple iPhone platform and Google Android. Developers can create applications for webOS based on JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
